Rabbi Jeffrey Myers and Pastor Eric Manning join Alisyn Camerota for a deeply personal conversation about faith, friendship and finding hope after unimaginable loss on "Connected with Alisyn Camerota." Myers survived the 2018 Tree of Life synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh, while Manning helped guide Charleston's Mother Emanuel AME Church through the aftermath of the 2015 massacre. They share how an unexpected visit in the days after the Pittsburgh attack sparked a lasting friendship, what they've learned about leading congregations through trauma, and why they believe more unites us than divides us. The horrors that brought them together aren't what kept them together. As Rabbi Myers puts it: "Our shared humanity is the fuel that has us traveling this path together. The two of us can do that — why can't any two other human beings do the same thing?"
